Join Our Waiting List

We are currently experiencing a high demand for therapy services so to ensure that we can offer your child regular therapy sessions, we have a waiting list for new clients.

Yes, I Want To Add My Child's Name To Your Waiting List

Great! Let's get started. First we need you to complete our referral form below. We are currently accepting referrals for Occupational Therapy, Psychology and Social Work. Unfortunately our Speech Pathology waiting list is closed.

Frequently Asked Questions

I'm not quite sure if Occumax or which therapy is right for me?

If you have further questions or you are not quite sure if Occumax or the therapies we offer are right for you, please give us a call on 07 4818 0445 to chat further.

How long is your waiting list?

It is hard to give an exact time frame of when your child will be seen as many factors contribute to when therapists have the capacity to take on a new client. We have recently secured more clinic room space so rest assured that we are doing our best to recruit more therapists to meet community needs. You are welcome to call our office on 4818 0445 to ask where your child is on the waiting list.

I've filled out your referral form, what happens next?

Once we have reviewed your referral, you will receive an email outline if we have accepted your referral or not. Closer to your appointment time, you will receive a link to complete our online All About My Child Form.  If our administration team require any further information from you, they will call or email you. Once one of our therapists has the capacity to take on a new client, we will give you a call to book your initial appointment.

How much do appointments cost?

Please see our pricing page for an outline of our fees.

What funding options are available to reduce costs?

  • We are able to accept National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants who self-manage or have a plan management agency manage their plan. We are not an NDIS registered provider so we are unable to accept participants who have their plan managed by the NDIA.
  • We accept Enhanced Primary Care Plan Referrals, Autism Care Plan Referrals, and Mental Health Care Plan Referrals from your doctor. This give you a Medicare rebate which you can claim at our office after you have paid for the appointment in full. Please note, we are not a bulk billing practice and these Medicare plans do not cover the full cost of an appointment. Please call our office to find out which plan might be appropriate for you and which doctor or specialist can refer you for the different types of plans.
  • We accept private health fund rebates and have a HICAPS terminal that you can use at our office. The benefit that health funds pay varies from fund to fund, so it is best to check with your health fund to find out what rebate you could expect.
